NEW PRODUCTS
As the worldwide leader of server and storage chassis manufacturer, Advanced Industrial Computer, Inc. (AIC) introduces the industry's first Ultra320 SCSI based enterprise-level drive enclosure designed for the Seagate Savvio 2.5” 10,000rpm small form factor (SFF) hard disc.
BR-SCA28 is designed to vertically populate up to eight 2.5” SFF hard drives in a two- 5.25” drive bay space. The design concept for this product is to allow easier adaptation of the latest SFF technology into existing servers. Users do not have to buy a new server to take advantage of the high-performance enterprise quality hard disk drive. Older servers also do not need to upgrade power supply or cooling, with this new low-power hard disk brick with self-contained cooling. A fully-loaded enclosure has storage capacity up to 587.2GB and data transfer rate up to 320MB/s. Aggregated performance with eight 10,000rpm hard disk drives plus 24/7 duty cycle, BR-SCA28 is the ultimate solution to upgrade outdated servers with the latest technology.
“Seagate 2.5-inch Savvio enterprise-class disc drives enable a new category of high I/O density storage solutions designed for space-constrained data centers,” said Bill Schilling, Seagate Director of Global Product Marketing. “Storage Solutions using Savvio drives such as those offered by AIC will help IT managers maximize their IOPS while minimizing their required data center floor space.”
“BR-SCA28 provides flawless solutions to the enterprise-level server and storage industry. With its self-contained cooling system, plus the reliable high-performance and low power-consumption of Seagate Savvio drives, BR-SCA28 provides IT professionals a cost-efficient way to adopt and upgrade to the latest technology,” said Gene Lee , Vice President of Advanced Industrial Computer, Inc. (AIC).
Once again, AIC's R&D department has proved its innovations in providing cutting-edge technology in server and storage industry by the announcing its 2U and 5U storage chassis as quad-opteron-ready chassis line.
AIC's 2U-12bays (RMC2E2-T82) and 5U-24bays (RMC5E2-T82) storage servers are designed due to the ever-increasing demand of high density, high capasity application and high computing power in the server and storage market.
RMC2E2-T82 and RMC5E2-T82 are specially designed for Tyan(r)'s S4882 Quad Opteron server board and support up to 4.8TB (2U) and 9.6TB (5U) of data storage. These chassis are estimated to be released in early January, 2005.
